In the afternoon on March 23rd, 2024, a man (identified as Thomas Queen) opened fire at staff in the Curriculum Radio headquarters. The entire shooting was heard during an episode of today’s ROFLCast when shots were heard outside the podcast studio.
Sam, Mike, Mary, Anna, Scotty, Wally, and the others were quickly dashed to seek shelter. They are safe and unhurt. However, among the dead are former Best FM worker Darlene Griffin, and the gunman himself, who turned the gun on himself.
Curriculum Radio released this statement:
What happened in our headquarters today was dark and horrific, and all our hearts go out to those who were there in the shooting. We should have kicked the man out before he could even plot the whole thing. We do believe that the man deliberately started the shooting because someone else has ordered him to do it. It is an unacceptable crime. We must put an end to the person who has been terrorizing Curriculum Norman for 2 years.
Statement from Curriculum Radio
The man later barged into the studio with a gun and threatened everyone that he will start a shooting in the Curriculum Radio headquarters if they don’t leave BJAdventureVlog, which eventually foreshadowed the shooting. BJAdventureVlog is an user and the leader of a sockpuppet syndicate who, in the past, has pressured Davemadson into putting Looney Tunes characters in his videos (eventually doing so as stock images in 2021.)
TWO Radio broke the news of Darlene’s death in a Twitter post:
It is with much regret to inform you that former Best FM Presenter and editor, Darlene Griffin, was tragically shot and killed in the Curriculum Radio HQ in Nyíregyháza. We will send out our condolences to Darlene’s family, the victims, and the rest of the staff of Curriculum Radio who were involved.

This wasn’t the first time an actual incident happened during a podcast.
In January, Chuck, Red, Kiff, and Stella were held hostage by Anita and her men over the 100 Bird Street McLaren storyline. Stella, Red, and Kiff were wounded, and the hostage takers were arrested.
1 month later, a power cut occured in the Curriculum Radio headquarters that was deliberately caused by Doctor Power, who claimed that Chuck Bird did not pay the energy bills. He was later defeated by Sylvia who turned the electricity back on.
In March, a cyber attack broke out that caused an interruption in Boomerang Days (which would ultimately be delayed), but Yellow Bird Plays managed to finish an episode before the cyber attacks. Doctor Power, the same person who organized the power cuts in February, claimed responsibility for the cyber attacks in retaliation.
Now, fans worry that another real life incident would occur in April, as they figure out that something terrible always happens once every month. This repeating event is known as “The Monthy Terror Curse”.
The next episode of YellowCast will be recorded in a in-studio room in Matilda’s house. Curriculum Radio HQ is later closed until further notice as the investigation goes on.
