For over 4 seasons, 100 Bird Street has provided us humor, romance, and some drama. It is time to look back at the show’s most memorable moments.
Orange Bird’s Death
During August and September, 100 Bird Street went on a hiatus as a result of the controversies involving Orange Bird. Orange was suspected of drinking and doing drugs, yelling at his family, and more. As a result, Orange was removed from the YellowVerse, later committing suicide in October 2023.
In the first season finale, an episode was written as a memory for Orange Bird, with fans paying tribute to him. However, much to everyone’s surprise, in March 2024, Orange Bird was unexpectedly revived, but with a different look and voice.
Penny’s “Bikinigate”
A two-parter episode from season 1 focused on Penny Fitzgerald as she dove deeper into the modeling business, even to the point that she started wearing a bikini, and, get this, a G-String.
The episode caused controversy among viewers who questioned why Norman wrote these episodes. However, it was Flower Anderson who solely wrote the episodes and not Norman, but she apologized for writing it, later promising to be responsible and writing better episodes. This particular controversy foreshadowed Flower’s termination from G4p TV Studios in November later that year.
The Hostage Situation
100 Bird Street broke new grounds in the second season finale when McLaren held the entire family hostage on Christmas. Penny was killed, followed by Hal.
This signaled the major changes that would later take effect in Season 3, with the show focusing on much darker storylines as opposed to the humorous adventures involving the Bird family.
McLaren’s men took the remaining hostages to the bedroom. Viewers were then left in shock worrying that all of the hostages were killed, but it later revealed that McLaren was shot in the back by Wágner Tamás who was secretly hiding in the bedroom to rescue the hostages.
In an interview with Curriculum Blog, Chuck Bird said:
It’s actually a true story. Our house was being put into jeopardy in real life by an ex-owner of the house we live in, and it was originally a motorcycle factory, not an actual home. McLaren is just as evil as the ex-house owner, but he wasn’t really that bad. After all, if the Bird family can buy the house in the show, we can make that happen in real life as well.
Chuck Bird
100 Bird Street was full of comedy and drama, but it will never be forgotten for its light-hearted adventures. Since now that the show came to an end, normal videos will resume production.
