STAR, a text to speech production tool

STAR, an acronym meaning Speech to Audio Relay, is a little program that let's you connect to a server that networks all the TTS voices from people's computers. It works via websockets and the program that connects the voices to the server is called a provider, and the server that manages all these requests is called the coagulator.

The above link will allow you to download a STAR package that is compiled from the very latest GitHub repo from Sam Tupy and preconfigured to use the coagulator we're running in partnership with Seediffusion. The main STAR client and all providers have been set up to automatically connect to the Seediffusion coagulator, and Stuart Hughes of Seediffusion has made some slight modifications to allow the STAR client and included providers to run on both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 7.

Alternatively, you can run STAR inside your browser. Note, however, that the web version of STAR does not support scripts, so you will have to generate and download each audio file manually.

TeamTalk Commander (TTCom) Now with speech and sounds plugin included

TeamTalk Commander, or TTCom, is a tool that allows users to monitor and administrate one or more TeamTalk conferencing servers from a single console.

This is a precompiled TTCom with the Soundspeech plugin included. Soundspeech allows events that TTCom logs, such as server logins and logouts, user status changes, private messages, server wide broadcast messages and others, to have a sound assigned to them, as well as allowing for events to be spoken through your screen reader and optionally sent to your iOS device via the Prowl service.

Acapela TTS for NVDA with US and UK English voices included

This is an updated version of the Acapela TTS add-on for NVDA, with all US and UK English voices included. All you have to do is install the addon, then once NVDA restarts, select it in your synthesizer list and boom, you're ready to go.
